Welcome to Zenergize!

Thank you for visiting! Zenergize opened as a yoga/dance studio, gift boutique, and event space in March 2023. The goal was to create a place that invoked a sense of calm (“Zen-“) yet left you feeling invigorated (“-Energize”). Owned and operated by Martha (Pesta) Russo, together with her boyfriend, they transformed a blank open space into an enchanting, dynamic studio built to accommodate yoga for people of all ages and abilities, unique dance offerings like belly and hula, local gifts and treasures, and a variety of events like ladies night and craft fairs.

Keeping true to its passion for kids yoga & play, it quickly became clear there was a need in the community for a children’s play space. So, Martha, who, as a stay-at-home mom for 4 years, appreciated this great need, and quickly got to work shifting gears. Beginning in January 2024, the main studio is home to a charming open playroom for children ages 0-7, while the front area offers a gift corner and holds space for cozy, intimate-sized yoga classes. The best part of each day is connecting with friends new and old in the community and seeing all the smiling faces!

About Martha Russo

Martha Russo, RYT 200, fell in love with yoga in high school. She was instantly drawn to its calming effect on the body, mind and spirit, and how practicing yoga can deepen the connection to ourselves and the universe around us. Martha is a graduate of the Pranotthan Yoga School through All That Matters Yoga + Wellness in Wakefield, RI. She is trained in traditional yogic practices and certified in Deep Play for Kids through the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, as well as Restorative Yoga. Her classes focus on “zenergizing” the body, mind and soul, for kids and grownups alike. Since earning her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Fairfield University, Martha has had a varied career in many different sectors, including being a stay-at-home-mom for four years. Through her teacher training at ATMY+W, Martha finally discovered how to align her various skills and passions, by becoming a yoga instructor. Martha is proud mom to beloved daughter (and mini-yogi) Mallory, and teaches yoga to kids and adults at various places within the community, including yoga studios, wellness centers, schools, and private clubs.
